A West Coast man was remanded in custody on Monday, facing multiple sex charges.
It follows an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning, when a man broke into a house and attacked a woman as she slept.
As well as three sex charges, the 46-year-old is also facing charges of burglary and cultivating cannabis.
He is due to appear before Greymouth District Court on 9 April.
