Police say both lanes of the Rimutaka Hill road linking Wellington and Wairarapa are now open, following a serious crash earlier on Saturday.
It had been reduced to a single lane after a female motorcyclist suffered serious spine and head injuries after a crash with a car on Saturday afternoon.
The 35-year-old was flown by helicopter to Wellington Hospital.
Police are investigating the crash.
