Television New Zealand's head of news and current affairs has resigned after 10 months in the job.
TVNZ says Ross Dagan is leaving for personal family reasons and will return to his home town of Brisbane in Australia to take up a position at the Seven Network.
Mr Dagan left Network 10 Australia to begin his role at TVNZ in April last year.
In an email to staff, TVNZ chief executive Kevin Kenrick says he has accepted Mr Dagan's resignation with regret.
