Two jet boat drivers involved in a crash on the Dart River near Glenorchy on Friday have been suspended, while Maritime New Zealand and the company conduct an investigation.
There were no major injuries, but one of the drivers and a passenger were taken to hospital. They have since been discharged.
The jet boat company, Dart River Safaris, is owned by Ngai Tahu Tourism. Southern Regional general manager David Kennedy said the drivers had been stood down.
He says they would continue to receive full pay while Maritime NZ investigates the incident.
