A $20.5 million Lotto Powerball prize has been claimed by a South Island man who bought his ticket on a whim.
The man purchased the ticket from Windsor Stationery & Lotto during a visit to Invercargill for the Burt Munro bike challenge, using a spare $20 in his wallet.
The man says he's spoken to the bank and is blown away by how much interest the money will earn.
He says it's enough for him and his partner to consider quitting work, travelling, and indulging his love for vintage motorcycles.
