A man injured in a possible hit and run on Wednesday has died in Christchurch Hospital.
Warren Noel Blackett, 44, died shortly before 4pm on Thursday.
He had been in a critical condition in hospital since he was found with serious head injuries Wednesday morning in the driveway of a home on Yaldhurst Road.
Police are continuing to treat the incident as a possible hit and run, and are appealing for information about the man's movements and the circumstances leading to his being injured.
Detective senior sergeant Tony Hill says police would like to speak with two fair-headed youths seen running from the area towards the city at the time.
