A convicted paedophile with release conditions similar to those the sex offender Stewart Murray Wilson will face has appeared in court, charged with breaching his supervision order.
Lloyd McIntosh was jailed for raping a 23-month old baby and a six year old girl, but was released in 2005.
Since then he has been living in the grounds of Christchurch Men's Prison and has been heavily supervised in the same way Stuart Murray Wilson will be when he is released.
Christchurch District Court was told on Monday McIntosh was doing a reintegration programme with the Salisbury Street Foundation and had been dishonest and abusive to staff.
It heard he breached his supervision order by transferring money into another person's account without getting permission from staff.
But Judge John Macdonald said this was McIntosh's first breach of the order and he would treat it as an isolated lapse.
The judge said it was a minor breach that came after seven years of compliance.
He convicted him but issued a deferred sentence which means he must appear again if called upon within 12 months.
