A body has been found near Paritutu Rock in Taranaki where three climbers have been missing since 8 August.
There is no information yet on the identity.
Sergeant Andrew Ross, a Taranaki search and rescue coordinator, says the body was found at 7am on Sunday, still with a climbing helmet on.
Students Stephen Kahukaka-Gedye and Felipe Melo, both 17, were washed from the rock while on a climbing expedition. Instructor Bryce Jordain, 42, jumped in after them.
All three were presumed drowned.
Sergeant Ross says onshore searches for the bodies of the other two people continued on Sunday.
