Volcanic alert levels on Mount Tongariro and White Island have been lowered.
Both erupted nearly two weeks ago and the alert level was raised to level two, indicating minor volcanic activity.
But GNS Science has downgraded them to level one, meaning signs of volcano unrest.
It says there has been no significant activity on Mount Tongariro since 6 August.
On White Island, little or no ash has been visible in the steam plume this week.
The aviation code remains at yellow for both.
