Air New Zealand introduces a new boarding system for domestic passengers at Auckland Airport on Monday.
The airline is investing $30 million on the system, which lets passengers process their own bags via kiosks.
Air New Zealand says the kiosks will save processing time by 40% but unions claim check-in staff are being stripped of their skills and the technology could lead to redundancies.
The airline says there will be no job losses and the aim is to eliminate queues.
