Filming on The Hobbit ends

Director Sir Peter Jackson has announced that filming on the Hobbit movie has ended.

Sir Peter says there have been 266 days of principal photography for The Hobbit and the crew will now move on to the editing and post-production stage.

The film is set to be released in two parts with the first, The Unexpected Journey to be released on 14 December this year.
