The search for a Korean woman whose car crashed into the Waikato River is being extended north to Ngaruawahia.
The 40-year-old's car broke through a steel railing on Pukete Bridge in Hamilton and plunged into the river overnight on Wednesday.
The car has been recovered but searchers are yet to find the woman.
Police said a boat crew was on Sunday searching as far as Ngaruawahia.
