The Act Party has lost another candidate, just over a month out from the election.

A party spokesperson has confirmed Taranaki King Country candidate Brent Miles withdrew last week for personal reasons.

Miles was 57th on the party list.

He was the fifth candidate to resign in recent weeks, with Auckland Central's Scott Boness, Kaipara ki Mahurangi's Anto Coates, and Waikato's Darren Gilchrist also citing personal reasons for their withdrawals.

The party's Rangitata candidate Elaine Naidu-Franz resigned after online comments likening vaccine mandates to concentration camps emerged.
