The New Zealand women's pairs lawn bowlers play their last group match at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday afternoon.

Jan Khan and Rawi Timoti are second, just behind Australia, in Group A.

The women's and men's singles heats, featuring world number one Val Smith and world number four Ali Forsyth, begin on Saturday night.

Erratic early form by the men's pairs, men's triples and women's triples meant losses on the fifth day dropped them out of contention.

The men's triples and men's pairs will play their last group match on Saturdaynight, for pride only. The women's triples missed out on their quarter-finals, on countback.

National head coach Dave Edwards says the players are disappointed that their form was not what it should have been after all the training and preparation.
