There are three new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand today, all in managed isolation.

In a statement, the Health Ministry said one of the people who tested positive for the coronavirus arrived from the United Kingdom via Singapore on 9 October, and is now in managed quarantine in Christchurch.
The two other people with the virus arrived from the United Arab Emirates on 13 October, and are being transferred from isolation facilities in Auckland to managed quarantine today.
All three of today's cases tested positive from their day three tests.

New Zealand has now confirmed a total of 1527 cases of Covid-19. Of those 40 are still active, all of which are imported.
Yesterday there were four new cases, all imported and in managed isolation. And 4794 tests were processed yesterday.
The Ministry also says there are now 2,308,900 users registered on NZ Covid Tracer app. It has recorded 93,174,782 poster scans, and users have made 3,894,448 manual diary entries.

Seventeen people travelling on one of the first trans-Tasman bubble flights have been caught entering Melbourne. The ABC understands the passengers flew to Sydney and then got a connecting flight to Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, despite Victoria not accepting international travellers.
The arrangement is initially only for New South Wales and the Northern Territory, and other states can still have different rules for international arrivals.
