Christchurch's main tourism office and visitor centre has re-opened in central Christchurch after eight months in temporary premises.

The ISITE Visitor Centre was previously based in Cathedral Square, which remains inaccessible in the central city red zone.

The centre, which provides visitor advice and ticketing services for attractions throughout the country, is now sited on Rolleston Avenue next to Canterbury Museum.

Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism says staff are thrilled with the central location and hope to see many visitors and locals through the doors over summer.
