The Christchurch City Council on Wednesday concluded the last day of hearing submissions from the public on its plans to rebuild the earthquake-hit city.
Some 383 verbal submissions from business people, community groups and politicians have been squeezed into eight days of hearings.
Restrictions on building heights and the number of car parking facilities have been criticised by many property developers as potentially putting investors off rebuilding in the city.
Christchurch mayor Bob Parker says now the hard part of consolidating everyone's submissions begins.
Mr Parker says councillors will deliberate over coming weeks, then rewrite the plan and have a final version to hand to the Government by Christmas.
