A self-appointed watchdog of the Canterbury earthquake recovery is disappointed that Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee has dismissed their process as a waste of time.
The Future Canterbury Network says it has developed an accountability matrix, to question participants about leadership, vision and strategies.
The group is to publish an assessment of how they're doing.
It says some councils are taking part, but Mr Brownlee has made it clear the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority won't be.
The Network is made up of representatives from business and community groups, including Canterbury University and the Property Council.
