Canterbury Museum has created a multi-media exhibition about the Christchurch earthquakes.
The $1 million project is based in the former Cashel Street Mall, now known as the "container mall".
The exhibition displays artifacts rescued from building rubble such as the Pyne Gould Guinness building sign and the Catholic Basilica's two tonne bell.
Museum director Anthony Wright says the images, objects, sound and film reflect what Cantabrians have endured for the past two years.
He hopes tourists will meet locals at the exhibition and learn of their own personal experiences.
