The Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission has delivered the third part of its final report to the Governor-General.

The section consists of the last three out of a total of seven volumes for the full report.

It also contains the results of the Commission's investigation into the collapse of the CTV building which claimed 115 lives in the earthquake on 22 February, 2011.

The report also deals with roles and responsibilities in the building sector including the assessment of buildings after earthquakes, the training and regulation of civil engineers, and the building consent process.

The Governor-General will provide the report to the Government, which will decide when it is released.
