Auckland property sales surged in November as sellers saw certainty in the post-election market.
Barfoot & Thompson sold 894 homes in the month, 23 percent more than in October.
The average selling price also increased sharply, rising 2.5% to $567,489.
Managing director Peter Thompson says the end of the Rugby World Cup and the elections helped drive the increase.
He says Barfoot & Thompson has enough auction listings to continue strong sales until Christmas.
