Mighty River Power expects to report earnings of between $430 and $450 million in the 2012 year.
In 2011, when it benefited from wet weather, the state-owned electricity generator and retailer generated $443.1 million in earnings.
Mighty River's chairperson Joan Withers says the earnings guidance for 2012 is based on normal hydrology in the Waikato River catchment and the ongoing reliable operation of the company's geothermal stations.
