Fibre being laid for ultra fast broadband in Wellington

Telecom network arm Chorus has started laying fibre in Wellington for the Government's ultra fast broadband network.

Over the next 10 months, the network will be built across the greater Wellington region.

Chorus has already begun laying fibre in Auckland and work is due to start in Ashburton, Blenheim, Dunedin, Napier, Palmerston North, Rotorua and Taupo within the next six months.
