The New Zealand sharemarket has lost ground on Wednesday.
At 1.35pm, the NZX50 index was down 6 points to 34 67 on turnover of $62 million.
Across the Tasman, the Australian 200 index was down 12 points to 4586.
The New Zealand dollar was trading at 82.80 US cents, 77.40 Australian cents, 51.52 pence, 66.94 yen and 0.5731 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 71.35.
Fletcher Building was down 9 cents at $8.47, Contact Energy was up 2c at $5.37 and Telecom was unchanged at $2.50.
Sky City Entertainment Group was down 1c at $3.63.
Auckland International Airport Ltd was up 2.5c at $2.285, The Warehouse was down 1c at $3.56 and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 2c at $2.70
Nuplex was down 5c at $2.85, Guinness Peat Group was down 11c to 79c and Port of Tauranga was up 14 cents to $9.25.
Hallenstein Glasson's was up 5c to $3.69. Turners Auctions was up 8c to $1.38. Ecoya was up 7 cents at 97c.
