The benchmark NZX 50 fell 12 points, or a third of a percentage point, to 3470 on turnover of $94 million at close on Friday.
Fletcher Building rose 5c to $8.62, while Sky City Entertainment Group was unchanged at $3.62.
Falls included Contact Energy down 4c to $5.75, Telecom 3c to $2.38, Auckland International Airport 1.5c to $2.24 and Pumpkin Patch 1c to $1.03.
The Warehouse fell 7c to $3.65, Hallenstein Glasson 15c to $3.55, Ryman Healthcare 1c to $2.70 and Vector 1c to $2.47.
In currency markets, the NZ dollar was at 80.22 US, 76.32 Australian, 49.81 pence, 64.7 yen and 0.5675 euro. The TWI stood at 69.76.
