SmartPay has reported a loss of $2 million in the six months to September.
That's a turnaround from the $353,000 profit in the same period a year ago.
Revenue rose 21% to $21.7 million.
The retail merchant services company is forecasting gross earnings of $7 million to $7.5 million, the lower end of its intitial range.
