Jetstar has given more details on its plans to add an extra two planes to fly routes in New Zealand from February next year.

The Qantas-owned discount airline will add 39 extra weekly services, with more Auckland-Christchurch and Auckland-Wellington flights.

Jetstar says the fleet of five aircraft will help build its New Zealand market share closer to 20%, or up to 116 weekly return flights.
