Popular Asian-inspired restaurant chain Wagamama is shutting up shop in New Zealand.

Wagamama is a global franchise which has restaurant sites in Auckland's Newmarket and Sylvia Park and Wellington's waterfront.
The company wrote on their website it was very sorry that its time in New Zealand had, for now, come to an end.
They said they hoped to be back on New Zealand shores one day.
