The future of the property investor National Property Trust is in doubt.
After a review of its business, the Trust, which is managed by St Laurence, says it's exploring a number of options, including merging, a capital raising or liquidating the trust.
Chairman, Kevin Podmore says it's already started merger talks with several parties.
PriceWaterhouseCoopers is also preparing a report on the value of the property portfolio in the current market under a liquidation scenario.
National Property Trust has around $280 million of commercial, retail and industrial properties around New Zealand.
It posted a profit of $18.4 million for the 10 months to March.
