Maori Trustee Te Tumu Paeroa has chosen boutique fund manager Mint Asset Management as its investment partner.

The trustee, which manages 2000 Maori land trusts with 100,000ha, has decided to begin investing in listed shares for the first time in its 92 years.
Mint chief executive Rebecca Thomas said the trustee selected her company after a beauty parade of fund managers.
"We've had exceptionally good returns since we started the business in 2007 and we really manage ourselves as a much larger organisation than we are at present," she said.
"So our governance standards and our transparency and our approach to investing, we believe, is international best of breed, and that's what we set out to achieve when we built the business."
