Wynyard opens Sydney centre

2:01 pm on 21 July 2014

Advanced crime analytics software company Wynyard has opened an Asia Pacific operations centre in Sydney to serve a growing customer base in the region.

Wynyard managing director Craig Richardson said the centre's staff would provide analytic and other product support to its customers in Australia, Thailand and New Zealand.

Wynyard's software is used globally to help prevent and solve serious and organised crime, including regulatory offences, financial crime, drug trafficking, terrorism and cyber crime.

Mr Richardson said the new centre would be able to quickly scale up to meet strong demand for its products in South-East Asia and Australia.

"We're still a new company, (it's) really only a year since we completed our IPO (initial public offering), but we're seeing is the market is developing very quickly.

"There's not a lot of players in this space (of) advanced crime analytics, so we're able to differentiate ourselves in that we have a product, not a services proposition."

There was continued demand for the product Wynyard offered, Mr Richardson said.
