That's the date when Chorus has to start charging the price the commission has already set.

The commission is currently reviewing its original decision that Chorus must halve its charges to deliver broadband services over the copper wire network .

It initially aimed to have it done and the new prices in place by the beginning of December, but has now delayed the process following concerns from phone retailers.

The commission is now planning to have a draft decision by 1 December, with a final decision due four months later at the beginning of April.

Chorus is disappointed, saying the delay has increased uncertainty.

However, InternetNZ welcomed it, saying the extra time will lead to a better result.
