The New Zealand Superannuation Fund has invested $US55 million in a United States-based developer of wind turbines.
The fund says Ogin Inc is a privately-owned company which has used aerospace technology to develop a smaller, high-performance wind turbine.
General manager of investments Matt Whineray says Ogin is past the start-up phase but requires time and capital to grow before listing on public share markets.
