Refining New Zealand made $24 million in the two months to the end of February, after processing 6.8 million barrels of oil.
The country's sole refinery says the margin fell and the exchange rate rose, with the average gross refinery margin at $US4.20 a barrel, and the average exchange rate at 84 US cents.
