Pharmacybrands has lifted its profit for the six months to September by 52% compared to the same period a year ago.
The listed company operates the Amcal, Care Chemist, LifePharmacy, Radius and Unichem retail chains and 10 medical centres.
The firm made a $6.2 million profit, while sales remained flat at $52 million.
Costs from buying Radius had weighed on earnings during the same period a year ago.
Chief executive Alan Wham says the trading environment has been tough and same store sales were down 1.2% over the six months.
