Fonterra has appointed a country manager for Myanmar to lead the expansion of its business in the fast-growing dairy market there.
Prashant Pradhan will be responsible for driving growth and exploring new opportunities for Fonterra in Myanmar.
This appointment follows the reshaping of Fonterra's business.
It is the first time the company has employed its own staff based in Myanmar.
The new position will be based in Yangon and Prashant Pradham has been appointed.
Mr Pradham, who joined Fonterra in New Zealand five years ago as a strategy manager, says the first challenge will be educating consumers about the value of Fonterra's products.
