Nokia unveils new smartphone

1:51 pm on 6 September 2012

Nokia has taken the wraps off what could be its last chance product - the Lumia smartphones.

The high-end Lumia 920 offers wireless charging and a "PureView" camera which the mobile firm said offered better video and still images than rival smartphones.

It features a Snapdragon S4 processor, a 4.5in (11.4cm) curved screen, and can be used while wearing gloves, the BBC reports.

However in a signal that investors were not impressed, Nokia's share price fell steadily during the announcement and by the end of the session had lost 15%.

Nokia's loss deepened to €1.41 billion in its last earnings quarter after it lost market share.
