The chief executive of the Serious Fraud Office is set to take over as the new head of the Queenstown Lakes District Council.
Adam Feeley has been with the SFO since 2009 and has overseen high profile financial fraud investigations including into the collapse of South Canterbury Finance.
Mr Feeley says the focus of his term as the head of SFO was to increase public confidence that those carrying out fraudulent activity would be held to account.
A date for his departure has not been set yet but it is expected to be within the next three months.
