NZ market up on Wednesday

The NZX50 rose 3 points, or 0.1%, to close at 3491 on turnover of $81 million on Wednesday.

At market close in the currency markets, the NZ dollar was at 76.03 US, 77.62 Australian, 48.67 pence, 60.40 yen and 0.6096 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 69.46.

Fletcher Building was up 1 cent to $6.26, Telecom was down 3 cents to $2.55, Chorus was up 4 cents at $3.25 and Contact Energy was up 1 cent at $4.81.

Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.52 and Sky Television was down 5 cents at $5.05.

Auckland International Airport was down 1 cent to $2.51 and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 5 cents at $2.12.

Trade Me was up 8 cents to $3.99.

Mainfreight was up 30 cents to $9.76 after reporting a profit of $80.5 million in the year to the end of March, more than triple the previous year.

Restaurant Brands was down 4 cents to $2.07 after sales fell 3.7% in the three months to the middle of May.

Refining NZ was up 5 cents to $2.70, Trustpower was up 7 cents to $7.67, Hallenstein Glasson was up 8 cents to $4.18 and Ryman Healthcare was up 3 cents to $3.41.

OceanaGold was down 6 cents to $2.34.
