BlackBerry firm loses three senior bosses

Several senior executives at Research in Motion have resigned, as the BlackBerry maker posted a quarterly loss.

The Canadian company has been stung by slipping smartphone shipments and limited deliveries of its poor selling PlayBook tablet.

It lost $US125 million in the last quarter, compared with a profit of $934 million a year earlier.

Sales are falling as Americans abandon their BlackBerrys for touch screen phones like Apple's iPhone.

Three Research In Motion executives have announced they are leaving the firm, including former co-chief executive Jim Balsillie.
