Police have found an English woman who went missing near Canterbury lake about midday yesterday.
They say Elise Davenport wandered off after an argument with a friend by a road near Lake Coleridge.
Search and rescue teams scoured the area during the night and found her about 3am.
Police had been particularly worried about Ms Davenport, who had only recently arrived in New Zealand, as temperatures were dropping overnight.
She was not injured but was taken to a medical facility for health checks.
