Fire crews have contained an ammonia leak at a mussel processing plant in West Auckland.
The Fire Service says 11 appliances were called to the factory in Corban Ave in Henderson at a 4.45am today.
One factory engineer has been decontaminated as a precaution.
The leak is thought to have come from a vessel containing 100 kilograms of ammonia.
