The US Air Force's largest plane has landed at Auckland's Whenuapai air base, bringing with it a special cargo for a second time.
A C-5M Super Galaxy landed at the same base last month to deliver components for a new C-130J Hercules simulator.
NZDF said Sunday's visit by the gargantuan aircraft was for the same purpose.
"The second and final consignment of components of the C-130J Hercules simulator arrived this morning at Royal New Zealand Airforce Base Auckland, flown in by the United States Airforce C-5M Super Galaxy Aircraft," it said.

The aircraft had a wingspan of 67.89 metres and a maximum takeoff weight of just over 381 tonnes.
In December the last of five new C-130J Hercules arrived in New Zealand to replace the C-130H Hercules that had been the workhorse of the Royal New Zealand Air Force for 60 years.
The Defence Force earlier said the simulator technology would be ready for use next year.
