The Warriors will play next year's Anzac Day NRL match in Wellington, with the city to host the game for the first time.

The game will take place at Sky Stadium on Saturday, 25 April 2026 against a yet to be confirmed opponent.

It will be just the fourth time the team has staged its Anzac Day game in New Zealand and the fourth time Wellington has hosted a Warriors match, following wins over the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2016, Cronulla in 2019 and Newcastle in 2023.

It will be the first Warriors match in the capital in three years,

Warriors chief executive Cameron George has been keen to get the traditional match to Wellington for several years, first suggesting the idea in 2021.

"We're eager to finally head back to Wellington next year for our Anzac Day match. We've had a great run in the city with three back-to-back wins since 2016; so we're keen to put on another great performance for the people of Pōneke."

Earlier this year, Christchurch hosted the Warriors Anzac Day match against the Knights, which the New Zealand side won.

The other two Anzac Day matches on New Zealand soil were last year and in 2015.

Both involved the Gold Coast Titans and were held at Mt Smart Stadium.
