A 17-year-old has been charged, after two pedestrians were hit by a car on Auckland's Queen Street on Sunday morning.
Police earlier said the driver fled on foot shortly after colliding with them aboout 6am between City Road and Karangahape Road.
One person had serious injuries, while the other sustained minor injuries, police said.
The 17-year-old male has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injuring with intent.
He is scheduled to appear in Auckland Youth Court on 4 August.
