A bike rider has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition, after an accident west of Auckland.
St John earlier sent an ambulance, a rapid response unit and a rescue helicopter to the Muriwai area.
The accident was thought to have occurred in Woodhill Forest.
St John said the injured person was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
