Shaqaila tweaked again
Shaqaila Uelese plays piano two days a week at Wellington hospital.

Talented pianist Shaqaila Uelese (Ngāti Kahungunu, Samoa) has a few regular patients who request songs while she plays the piano at Wellington Hospital. Last year, Shaqaila played at Cranford Hospice in Hastings where her father lived before he died from a rare form of cancer. Shaqaila has used the experience to share her music with patients, and is taking it a step further by organising a piano marathon, she has a chat with Justine Murray.
