Phonics fan: Professor Rhona Stainthorp

Leading British educator Professor Rhona Stainthorp is visiting New Zealand to talk about the use of phonics in teaching reading, writing and spelling. She and associate professor Daisy Powell from the University of Reading will speak at Massey University's inaugural Language and Literacy Research Group conference. Rhona Stainthorp talks to Jim about the benefits of phonics in terms of improving literacy.
