From Summer Times, 10:10 am on 16 January 2017

The University of Otago has received from a local family a very special Christmas gift - a property worth milions of dollars. Part of the Remarkables Station, it was founded during the days of the Otago goldrush and taken over by the Jardine family in 1922, who have now donated it to the University. Vice-chancellor of University of Otago, Professor Harlene Hayne, explains why they were given it and how they will use it.
