Dr Andrew Das - Investigating the role of epigenetics in cancer

Dr Andrew Das is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Free Radical Research in the Department of Pathology, University of Otago Christchurch (UOC). He graduated in medicine at the University of Otago in 2012 and completed his PhD in biochemistry there, in 2016. He has published five peer-reviewed journal articles and has won nine professional awards in recent years. Dr Das was born in Bangladesh and has lived in New Zealand since coming to the University of Otago to study for his degree. He has just won the 2018 NZSO (NZ Society for Oncology) Roche NZ Translational Cancer Research Fellowship to further his work as part of a research team investigating the role of epigenetics in cancer.
